Pairs Well Tasting workshop
Exploring the intersection of beer and food is part of the DNA of Tröegs, and we’ve worked hard to develop an approach to pairing that helps others do the same.
Our brewmaster and Scratch Kitchen team have found that suggesting flavors – or single ingredients – rather than complete dishes encourages beer lovers to experiment and discover their own appreciation for food pairing. The a-ha moments with complementary, contrasting and adverse flavors lead to a much more memorable and meaningful experience than simply following a recipe.
If you’re curious about the finer points of pairing, you won’t want to miss one of our new Pairs Well Tasting Tours. In the 45-minute session, you’ll work your way down the delicious rabbit hole of pairing small bites with four Tröegs beers. You’ll taste how our house-made strawberry-rhubarb jam introduces sweet and tart notes to Sunshine Pils, and you’ll discover the parallel between Tasso ham’s blend of umami and spice and Perpetual IPA’s balance of hops and malt.
In the end, you’ll learn more about our neverending search for perfect flavors and discover how a just-right pairing can be even better than the sum of its delicious parts. And we’ll send you home with a few pairing tips for your next get-together.
