Scratch #561 begins with white wheat, Vienna and pilsner malts to produce a bready character before our German Hefeweizen yeast ties it all together. The whimsical label was inspired by “Canned Smiles” – Alison Jester’s winning mixed media diorama from this year’s contest. “I wanted to showcase the hard work the goes on behind the scenes at the brewery,” says Jess. “The art reflects my appreciation for Tröegs’ commitment to craftsmanship.” With notes of banana bread, candied clove and subtle black pepper, this beer is anything but miniature.
