This Mexican-style dark lager starts with a canvas of German pilsner malt and flaked corn to elicit hints of slightly sweet kettle corn, caramel, and a grassy crispness. A lager strain from south of the border ferments this beer extremely dry, but the flaked corn tempers the dryness with a smooth mouthfeel and a touch of perceived sweetness. Deep amber in color and robust in flavor, it’s also snappy and refreshing.
