Back in the spring, about two dozen co-workers visited Sunny Brae Hops in nearby Carlisle to assist our friends Adam and Diana kick off their growing season. We spent a few hours in the fields getting to know the young Comet hop shoots and helping them climb and tether to the tall V-trellises. Fast forward to September, and these little shoots have matured into the beautiful green, sticky cones that endow Scratch #348 with waves of juicy pineapple, zesty citrus fruit, and underlying notes of fresh-cut grass.
