Dry Hopped Pilsner #2
- Scratch Series:
- Bohemian Pilsner
- Hallertau Mittlefrüh, Mandarina Bavaria
- House Lager
With Scratch #325, we’re continuing our exploration of dry-hopping a traditional German-style pilsner. Keeping the Tolar and Bojo malt bill intact, we decided to change up our dry hop to Mandarina Bavaria, a noble-like German varietal with pleasant citrus notes akin to tangerine and, as the name implies, Mandarin orange. We also opted to use our closed fermenters this time to mute the fruity esters and really allow the hop character to shine through. We’re really digging the zesty citrus note of this go-round!
We taste: tangerine, earthy honey, bread crust, honeysuckle
Availability: draft & growler fills only.
